portal Game Informer Japanese studio Capcom has released an exclusive 12-minute gameplay video of the Resident Evil 4 remake. The video showcases the game’s innovations, including stealth elements and newly mutated dogs as enemies.
In the story, former police officer Leon Kennedy travels to a Spanish village to find the kidnapped daughter of US President Ashley Graham. The video is, according to the plot, 2-2 from the original draft of the 2005 release. It contains parts from the fifth episode, which is a rethinking of the episode.
Among other things, the developers showed Leon and Ashley’s escape from the church, the scene with local ex-police officer Luis Sera, after which the two will defend themselves against many enemies.
Also, Capcom showed off the mechanics of fights with different enemies, parrying and finishing with a knife in stealth mode that was not in the original. In the remake, additional quests appeared from the merchant, a character who helps the hero with weapons and ammunition.
Game Informer clarified that the released gameplay footage was sourced from Capcom and not at the time of the project’s own transitions.
The remake of Resident Evil 4 is scheduled to release on PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and S game consoles on March 24.
