Samsung will educate its users on self-repairing smartphones 29.11.2022, 21:59

Samsung plans to release an application that will help equipment owners of the South Korean brand independently repair electronics at home. About informs Edition of The Verge.

Journalists learned this from a company filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office. From the app it appears that the service is called Self-Healing Assistant. The company describes itself as “mobile phone application software” for self-service repair and maintenance of smartphones, smart watches, tablets and headphones. In addition to the description, the app is accompanied by an app icon, which is a blue square with a gear and a key inside.

The Verge suggests that the app will contain instructions for repairing devices from the Samsung Galaxy series. The development of the Self-Healing Assistant is most likely the result of the iFixit collaboration with Samsung, which was announced in early 2022.
