Design
Tecno Pova 4 Pro received a similar design to the more budgetary Pova Neo 2, but this cannot be called a drawback – the device turned out to be still recognizable due to the unusual stripes along the body that separate from the camera unit. The back panel is made entirely of plastic. Thanks to the matte coating on the back, it can also be used without a case.
However, the Tecno design also has its controversial points. For example, not everyone will like the cutout for the front camera.
According to the understanding of some users in 2022, this represents the “budget” of the device. Moreover, the cheaper Tecno Pova 4 uses a “modern” cutout in the shape of a circle.
Also, the Pova 4 Pro is not suitable for everyone due to its size and weight of 213 grams. When using a case, the smartphone feels even bulkier.
Realme 10 is somewhat similar to the solutions of Huawei, Honor and even Tecno Camon 19. Due to its compact size and weight of 178 grams, the novelty looks more versatile, suitable for all genders and ages. Realme has straight edges and a glossy plastic cover in the style of the latest iPhones.

Realme 10 has a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Tecno Pova 4 Pro has a similar 6.7 inch AMOLED display.
When used, both give a similar result with a slight difference – warmer tones in Tecno and the picture in Realme more goes to cool tones. In terms of brightness, the Realme “by eye” looks slightly better.

Tecno Pova 4 Pro is equipped with a proprietary HiOS 12 system running Android 12. The brand is not far behind its rival, and the smartphone has managed to surprise with its desktop customization flexibility.
During the use of smartphones for two weeks, none of them gave any errors related to flaws in the system.

Both smartphones received the MediaTek Helio G99 chip. This is a budget solution that helps devices cope with almost all daily tasks, including most games. In the Geekbench 5 test, the processor scores 562 and 532 points in the single core test in Realme and Tecno, respectively. Multicore – 1737 and 1745 points. Therefore, the performance of the Helio G99 differs slightly in the compared devices.
For example, Call of Duty: Mobile and New State games run on medium settings and run smoothly on both smartphones. No warming is felt.
It’s possible to spend time in more “gluttonous” games like Genshin Impact, but only on low graphics settings. Then the process is accompanied by a picture at 25-30 FPS.
But still, Realme 10 or Tecno Pova 4 Pro cannot be called a game.
There are no questions asked about smartphones when performing everyday tasks such as surfing the web, using social networks and instant messengers – both devices do this perfectly.

Both smartphones have two cameras on the back, but each has a “working” camera – no additional sensors are involved.

Realme 10 and Tecno Pova 4 Pro use 50 megapixel sensors. In sufficient light, both cameras produce good results. In terms of image processing, the algorithms in Realme look more interesting: the final result can be published on social networks without any processing – the photo turns out contrasting and “live”. In Tecno, the picture is closer to the truth, but not always with enough saturation.

When shooting video, smartphones managed to surprise – not every budget device can shoot in Full HD resolution at 60 FPS. But there were some drawbacks: due to the lack of stabilization, the picture twitches a little. Also, autofocus on the Tecno is not very fast – it works better on the Realme 10.

The front camera in Realme 10 received 16 megapixels, Tecno Pova 4 Pro – 8 megapixels. Quality is slightly better on Realme, but Tecno stands out from the competition thanks to its front flashlight, which can be useful in some usage scenarios.

The volume button is almost always located on the left side of Realme smartphones while the power button is on the right. For many fans, this was a brand identity that was abandoned for reasons unknown. In Realme 10, this does not prevent use in any way, but it is necessary to be informed about this change.
Tecno Pova 4 Pro and Realme 10 use combo SIM trays that can accommodate two SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time. That is, you can expand the memory of the device without sacrificing an additional SIM card. You can even increase the RAM as it is built into both devices. It was not possible to empirically find out how this function helps.
Realme 10 only has one audio source while Tecno Pova 4 Pro got a stereo pair. There is also an “Ultra Loud Mode” in Realme where the volume can be increased up to 200%, but for this you will have to compromise on quality.
Battery
Realme 10 received a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Tecno Pova 4 Pro is equipped with a larger 6000mAh battery with 45W charging.
The Tecno’s battery charging speed is several minutes faster, but in both cases 60-70 minutes is enough for this.
In terms of charge consumption, the situation is strange: Realme 10 with a smaller battery “live” as much as Tecno’s rival. Perhaps this is due to the better optimization of battery consumption in Realme and the larger screen in Tecno. In any case, smartphones will last a day and a half of use, or 10-11 hours of active screen – that’s a lot.

How much do new products cost
Tecno Pova 4 Pro in modification 8/256 can be purchased in Russian stores for 20 thousand rubles. Realme 10 is presented on the market in various modifications. A model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of non-volatile memory will cost the same, and 8/256 will cost 22 thousand rubles. If the device has been purchased for a long time, it is not worth saving and choosing a cheaper version of Realme 10 with 4 GB of RAM.
