We women are not stopping now
We cannot let three centuries pass before equality takes root. That conviction echoed in a powerful message from EVAP, the Valencian Association of Businesswomen, Managers and Professionals. The organization’s president, Eva Blasco, spoke at the opening ceremony of its sixteenth anniversary, aiming to spotlight the leading women shaping society. The event drew a large audience, with a mix of private sector leaders and public representatives watching as Blasco framed equality as an ongoing, collaborative pursuit rather than a finished task.
Before a crowd of about five hundred attendees, including government officials such as the Government Delegate and the Minister of Industry, Blasco underscored that while progress has been made, the journey is far from over. The message was clear: the new century has proven that women must expand their roles beyond titles like business owners and professionals. They must take an active position in their communities and influence the environment around them.

“Accelerate the egalitarian society”
Blasco linked EVAP’s growth to a broader mission: strengthening leadership among women who are part of one of Spain’s foremost networks of businesswomen, managers, and professionals. She emphasized the responsibility that comes with guiding the association and urged members not to settle, but to push for continued gains toward a more egalitarian society. The leadership’s work, she argued, should extend outward from Valencia, turning the group into a catalyst for social transformation and lasting change.
Blasco also highlighted the collaboration efforts that connect EVAP to other women’s networks across Spain, Europe, and the world. She described a concerted effort to weave a transregional web of support that transcends borders, enabling members to share knowledge, opportunities, and strategies for empowerment. The focus is on building cooperative ties that amplify impact and sustain momentum in the struggle for gender parity.

The ceremony underscored how individual success stories contribute to a larger movement that seeks practical, everyday changes that improve workplaces and communities alike.
