Chervichenko acknowledged Stankovic’s distinguished playing career while noting that his coaching career has seen its share of ups and downs. He also expressed surprise at the level of jubilation around Spartak’s victories. Citing the 3:1 victory over Khimki in the second round of the Russian Premier League, he suggested that refereeing decisions may have shaped the result, rather than the performance alone demonstrating real improvement.
In the latest match, Spartak defeated Krylia Sovetov 3:0 at home, marking the third round of the Russian Premier League.
