Officials in Sochi confirmed that the Fisht Stadium escaped the recent powerful storm largely unscathed. Anton Kostrov, the press attaché for the Sochi football club, stated that the arena sustained only minor base damage and that most of the concern focused on structures around the field rather than the main stands. He noted that barrier nets and poles near the training grounds took a hit, and some camera towers were toppled. Importantly, there were no reported casualties, and Kostrov added that the club would pause activities for a day as a precaution while safeguarding all facilities. The academy’s schedule was also adjusted in response to the weather disruption, reflecting a cautious approach to maintain safety for players and staff.
