In Europe, a pre-order for a new generation of gaming laptops was announced, pairing AMD Ryzen processors based on the Zen 5 architecture with Nvidia RTX 50 series GPUs. AMD has indicated that sales will begin in the first half of 2025, while Nvidia has already started GPU deliveries since March, with top configurations featuring advanced cooling systems already available.

The flagship line features models with the 16-core Ryzen 9 9955HX and 9955HX3D, the latter carrying 144 MB of cache via 3D V-Cache. This promises a notable boost in both gaming and heavy workloads. In collaboration with Nvidia, these CPUs can be paired with RTX 5070 Ti, 5080, and 5090 GPUs, with TGPs exceeding standard values; for instance, the RTX 5090 operates at 175 W rather than 150 W, potentially lifting frame rates by roughly 10 to 15 percent.

The baseline configuration includes 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, which may feel tight for modern projects. These laptops can offer displays with refresh rates up to 300 Hz and brightness up to 500 nits, but they omit Thunderbolt 4, limiting USB-C bandwidth to 10 GB/s. The starting price for a system with Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and RTX 5070 Ti is €2,526, roughly 259,000 rubles, while the top model with RTX 5090 is around €3,860, about 396,000 rubles.

Although the pre-order is open, exact delivery dates were not disclosed, creating risks for buyers hoping to receive a device capable of RTX 50 performance in March. Nevertheless, these laptops may appeal to enthusiasts willing to invest in the hardware of tomorrow in 2025, given the potential of Zen 5 and 3D V-Cache.

The buzz among enthusiasts is already spreading across communities as the news circulates widely.
