Joaquín Rocamora’s squad prepares to chase the precious Cup again this season. The Franjiverdes have reached the final stage, the sixteenth in their history, this Tuesday in Oviedo. The decisive rounds unfold from 10 to 12 May at the Donostia Arena within the Illunbe bullring in San Sebastián.

Even on the road, AtticGo Elche faced no trouble against Oviedo Lobas, who defeated Global Atac 17-33 at the Florida Arena in the capital of Asturias.

As anticipated, Rocamora’s Guerreras sit third in the Guerreras-Iberdrola League, tied for second with Súper Amara Bera Bera on 22 points and just one point behind Costa del Sol Málaga. The favorites faced a lower-tier opponent and dominated from the opening whistle. The Green Franji warriors led 6-14 at halftime, and in the second half they extended their cushion to finish 17-33.

With this result, AtticGo Elche secured another place in the Copa de la Reina final stage, aiming for a second title in this special competition. They remain active on three fronts, contesting the League and European competition as well, with dreams of a strong European campaign on the horizon.

Alongside Elche, the roster features Super Amara Bera Bera, the promoter and reigning champion, and KH-7 Granollers, last year’s runners-up. Vallesanas earned direct qualification when the champion and organizer faced a scheduling conflict.

The remaining five teams will advance from the second-stage qualifiers this Wednesday:

Elda Prestigio-Rocasa Gran Canaria

Zuazo Feleneno-Costa del Sol Malaga

Tam Beti Onak-Orbe Protects Rubensa Porriño

CICAR Lanzarote-Caja Rural Aula Valladolid

Motive.co Gijón La Calzada-Mecalia Atlético Guardés

Primarily Rocasa, Costa del Sol Málaga, Porriño, Aula Valladolid and Atlético Guardés start as favourites, but this tournament is known for its surprises, especially when hosted by a team considered underdog on its home court.

— This dynamic field promises intense clashes as the season unfolds, with Elche aiming to capitalize on momentum built through a series of strong performances and strategic moves that sharpened their edge in both national and European play. — JA Galvan
