Elche CF confirms all fixtures through year-end and early 2024
The schedule for the remainder of the 2023 calendar year has been finalized, aligning with the completion of the first round of the season. The club’s technical staff have also confirmed the days for the upcoming matches and holiday breaks, allowing players to plan their rest periods around competitive commitments.
The Elche squad will face their final league game of 2023 against Mirandés on Tuesday, December 19, with kickoff at 21:30 at the Martínez Valero stadium. After this clash, the league takes a substantial break, with no match action until the weekend of January 13-14, 2024, when the Franjiverde outfit will resume the campaign by traveling to CD Tenerife to kick off the second half of the season.
Elche CF has a complete view of the year-end schedule
On the horizon, the Copa del Rey enters its third round during the first weekend of January. Elche is expected to participate, with the possibility of advancing past Linense. If Elche eliminates Linense, the next round will be played on Thursday, January 6 or 7, with an evening kickoff at 20:00, in Jaén.
Following the concluding league match against Mirandés, the Franjiverdes will enjoy a brief holiday break lasting about a week. Several players, particularly those from Argentina and some members of the technical staff, may take the opportunity to travel back to their home country. Training is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, December 27.
The team has morning study sessions on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. If the results in the remaining fixtures are favorable, coach Beccacece could extend the holiday period. The players also anticipate celebrating New Year’s Eve on Sunday the 31st and New Year’s Day on Monday the 1st, with training resuming on January 2 to prepare for a potential cup tie.
In total, the period spanning Christmas week and the likely extended break into early 2024 will allow Elche players to take up to 11 days of rest.
