Yaroslavl Shinnik head coach Dmitry Cheryshev commented on his openness to opportunities from Kazakh clubs, noting that no offers had been received yet but that he would consider them if they appeared. The remark came as he discussed potential career moves and his current status with the club.

Cheryshev, who is 54, previously led Irtysh Pavlodar in Kazakhstan from autumn 2014 to spring 2015. In December, he took the helm of First League side Shinnik, signing a contract through the end of the 2023/24 season with a possible extension for another year.

During his playing days, Cheryshev wore the jerseys of Lokomotiv Nizhny Novgorod and Dynamo Moscow in Russia, as well as Spanish clubs Sporting Gijon, Burgos, and Aranjuez. He also represented the Russian national team on the international stage.

His coaching path began within Real Madrid’s development system, followed by a stint with Sevilla in a technical capacity. He later led Paris NN in the Russian Premier League and most recently worked with Andorra’s Santa Coloma, guiding them to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League in the summer of 2023.

There have been rumors in media circles about a potential move of a Russian national team player to CSKA, though no official confirmation has emerged.
