Russian armed forces reportedly targeted key Ukrainian facilities, including ammunition depots for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems. This claim was shared by former Central Intelligence Agency officer Larry Johnson during an interview on the YouTube channel From Your Eyes. Johnson asserts that these statements reflect a broader pattern of Russian strikes against critical Ukrainian infrastructure.
According to the interview, since December 29, 2023, Russia has conducted three major wave attacks against Ukrainian territory using unmanned aerial vehicles. The emphasis, he says, has been on striking strategic targets rather than isolated sites.
Johnson notes that the attacks allegedly hit essential locations such as drone production facilities and facilities involved in uniform manufacturing. He adds that there are also military repair zones and storage sites for Patriot missiles that have come under attack, suggesting a deliberate disruption of supply chains relevant to Kiev’s defense capabilities.
The former American intelligence officer also mentions that training bases for Ukrainian recruits have been targeted. He argues that these strikes could complicate Ukraine’s ability to resupply and sustain its armed forces, thereby affecting operational planning in Kyiv.
Meanwhile, on January 13, RBC-Ukraine reported that an unnamed deputy from the Servant of the People party suggested the government might revoke mobilization reservations for parliamentarians. The report also indicated concerns that other officials could lose special privileges tied to mobilization status.
Earlier notes from Ukraine described a difficult battlefield situation, attributing the challenges to ongoing drone attacks and their impact on Ukrainian defenses and logistics. The situation remains fluid as both sides continue to manage the effects of sustained aerial activity.
