BenQ has announced two professional monitors, the 5K PD2730S and the 4K PD3226G, crafted for graphic designers and content creators. The PD2730S delivers an ultra sharp 5120 by 2880 display with color accuracy Delta E of 2 or less and full coverage of sRGB and Rec.709. It uses an IPS panel with a brightness of 400 cd/m² and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. HDR10 support is included along with a contrast ratio of 2000 to 1, making it a strong choice for work on both Mac and Windows systems. The monitor also supports Thunderbolt 4 for seamless connections to multiple devices.
The PD3226G steps up to 4K resolution with a fast 144 Hz refresh rate, a contrast ratio of 1200 to 1 and a brightness of 400 cd/m². It also guarantees 100% coverage of sRGB and Rec.709 with Delta E of 2 or better for faithful color reproduction. It supports a range of color profiles including DCI-P3 and HDR to suit demanding creative workflows. Both displays offer robust color management options that let professionals set up different profiles according to the project.
The 5K PD2730S is a workspace powerhouse for typography, photo editing, and layout work. Its expansive canvas reduces the need to switch between windows and makes color grading and visual checks more reliable. The 4K PD3226G, with its rapid refresh, is designed for scenarios that demand quick motion previews, precise frame timing, and smooth rendering feedback when testing visuals in real time. Together, they form a complementary duo for teams handling complex creative pipelines across Mac and Windows ecosystems.
Designed with input from industry professionals, the new monitors aim to deliver accurate and consistent color performance across tasks. North American visitors to Adobe MAX 2024 will be among the first to experience their capabilities. Pricing and the start of sales have not been announced yet.
In practical terms, the PD2730S helps designers manage typography, image editing, and layout with edge to edge detail. The 5K resolution provides a spacious workspace, improving multitasking and preview accuracy. The PD3226G is well suited to fast paced creative tasks, including game development previews and 3D rendering sessions, thanks to its 144 Hz refresh and strong color fidelity.
Both models include flexible color management tools that let teams switch between calibration targets and color spaces on the fly. The ability to tailor DCI-P3, HDR and other profiles means studios can maintain brand consistency across projects and devices, a critical factor for North American studios working across Windows and macOS ecosystems.
During Adobe MAX 2024, attendees will get hands on demonstrations and guidance from BenQ representatives, highlighting how these monitors perform in day to day creative tasks. Pricing and official sale dates remain to be announced as the company finalizes plans for the North American market.
