Attic Go Elche wrapped up their final training on the Elche grounds this Saturday morning. After gathering belongings and heading to the locker room, the green-haired warriors prepared for a voyage toward victory. This Sunday at 18:00, at the Pérez Canca-Carranque pavilion in Málaga, they face the first of two chances to crown themselves Guerreras-Iberdrola League champions for the club’s 60th anniversary.
Elche defeated Costa del Sol 24-23 in the opening match of the playoff final, played last Thursday in a packed Esperanza Lag pavilion with a vibrant atmosphere.

As the head coach Joaquín Rocamora noted, immense pressure rests on the Málaga players, who had no room for error. They began as favorites and must win both Sunday and the remaining two matches. If a third game becomes necessary, it would be staged next Wednesday at 21:00.

AtticGo Elche faces a dual challenge filled with morality and ambition. After beating the other strong contender in the semi finals, Super Amara Bera Bera from San Sebastian, they took a 1-0 lead in the final series and know they stand one victory away from glory.
The Elche board wanted every team member to share this unforgettable experience, and the entire squad traveled to Málaga, including the injured Ivet Musons.
The dream of the warriors with green fringes will not be easy. They must match the level shown in their three games against Bera Bera and the first match against Costa del Sol Málaga. The key for Sunday will be a strong, disciplined defense paired with efficient offense. In the opening final, Tessa Van Zijl of the Netherlands faced tight coverage and did not score. The team will rely on a similar performance from other leaders, including Danila So Delgado, who scored twice but received a red card for three suspensions that influenced the course of play.
Another pivotal factor in AtticGo Elche’s bid for history is the performance of Silvia Anderius from Costa del Sol Málaga, who has not been delivering at the pace the team hoped. On the Elche side, Nuria Andreu has delivered a masterful playoff display and will be central to the outcome.
The goalkeepers’ contributions will also heavily influence the final result. Nicole Morales has been outstanding in the previous game against Bera Bera and in the clash with the Málaga squad last Thursday. Senior Merche Castellanos has kept her team in contention at Esperanza Lag and will be among those who can decide the outcome.
The encounter promises intensity, emotion, and high stakes. A league title would be historic for one of the teams involved.
