“Spartak” signs contract with former defender of “Zenith”

Miha Mevlya, the Slovenian defender of the Turkish “Alanyaspor”, became the player of the Moscow “Spartak”. This has been reported team official website.

“In the near future, Mevlja will start training with the red-whites. He chose game number 32. Welcome Micha! – said on the official website.

The contract with him is designed for one year, and there is a possibility of extension for another season.

Mevlya is known for playing in Rostov, Zenit and Sochi in Russia. In total, he spent more than 100 matches in the Russian Premier League (RPL).
In 2016, Mevlja made his debut for his country’s national team.

Slovenia became the fourth acquisition of the red-and-whites in the summer transfer window. Previously, the team was replenished by former Lokomotiv’s defender Maciej Rybus, Krylia Sovetov’s former midfielder Anton Zinkovsky and Cagliari Keita Balde’s former striker.

After 8 RPL rounds, Guillermo Abascal’s wards share 4th place in the standings with Dynamo. Teams have 16 points. CSKA and Krasnodar share the second place (17 points). The leader is still Zenit (20 points).
