“In America, it is cool at first. You go everywhere – everyone smiles, friendly. Actually, you understand that no one cares about you. And at some point, I’m tired of it, I wanted something more real.”
Efimova is the three -time medal of the Olympic games. In 2012, he received bronze (200 m rice) and won two silver prizes (Rice 100 and 200 m) after four years. There are six gold medals of the World Championship and seven awards with the same dignity of European championships.
Efimova is a record owner for the number of medals of world championships among all indigenous (Soviet and Russian) swimmers – 17 (six gold, seven silver, four bronze). In the total number of prizes in individual distances, it is among the top ten in the history of world championships among all swimmers.
Efimova could not reach Summer Olympic Games – 2024. He could not fulfill the standard at 200 m at a rice distance and could not do it at a distance of 100 m.
