When it comes to 2100, their frequency will increase by 6-8%and the number of people suffering from abnormalities will be doubled if CO₂ emissions do not decrease, the international scientists in the magazine Nature Communication (Nc).
From 1961 to 2023, climatologists recorded the increase in sharp heating and frost caused by global warming. These anomalies have already caused significant damage: the loss of mass yield, infrastructure and economic losses in the US and Europe. According to the estimates of scientists, while maintaining the current speed of greenhouse gas emissions by 2100, the density of temperature differences will increase by 7%and the number of people affected will double. Developing regions will be particularly affected – risks in African countries in the south of Sakhara and Latin America will affect the population of 4-6 times so far.

Scientists from the United States, China and Canada analyzed data on daily temperatures for 62 years (1961-2023) and formed a climate model, taking into account the existing common emissions. The results have shown that the frequency of temperature abnormalities and scale increased steadily due to global warming.
The authors of the study aim to include measures to combat sharp temperature changes in global climate strategies. Particular attention should be paid to vulnerable regions such as Africa and Latin America, where the results will be the most destructive.
