The head coach of the Russian national team, Irina Viner, said that she has long wanted to leave the presidency of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (VFKhG). His words are quoted by the publication “VseProSport”.
“The position at the federation was a huge burden for me, and it was preventing me from doing what God had called me to do, which was his gift to me, to be a line coach and a teacher. It took a lot of time and effort: paperwork, planning, a huge layer of work that went directly against my responsibilities,” Wiener said.
Wiener has headed WFHG since 2008. He will continue as line coach.
Wiener is the former vice president of the rhythmic gymnastics technical committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). She worked with many champions and medalists – Yana Batyrshina, Alina Kabaeva, Yulia Barsukova, Evgenia Kanaeva, Margarita Mamun, Yana Kudryavtseva, Dina and Arina Averin.
Previously, it was decided to unite the Artistic Gymnastics Federation, Trampoline Jumping Federation, Sports Acrobatics Federation, All-Russian Sports Aerobics Federation and All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation into a single Russian Gymnastics Federation. It was directed by Oleg Belozerov.
Previously Arina Averina spoke about the possibility of becoming a singer.
