The press service of the American club Atlanta United (whose owner, Meta, is known as an extremist in Russia and is banned) published on its Instagram page a video from the first training session of Russian midfielder Alexei Miranchuk with the team.
The video features a selection of Miranchuk’s interactions with his assist partners, with the club also showing the Russian’s interactions with fans.
The player’s transfer from Atalanta was officially announced on July 30.
Miranchuk has been playing for Atalanta since 2020 and is currently on loan at Torino. The 28-year-old Russian player, who played 42 games in all competitions for Bergamasco last season, scored 4 goals and made 12 assists in these matches. In total, he scored 13 goals and made 19 assists in 98 games for the Italian club. Miranchuk won the Europa League with Atalanta.
In 2011, Alexey Miranchuk and his twin brother Anton moved to the Lokomotiv Moscow academy. The brothers made their debut in the main team of the “railway workers” in 2013.
