Sechenov University created a telegraph bot to control hereditary angioedema. This is a dangerous pathology in which spontaneous swelling develops in the face, arms, legs, abdominal cavity and larynx, which can lead to suffocation. This was told to socialbites.ca by Moscow State Medical University. Sechenov.
All patients with hereditary angioedema should be observed by an allergist-immunologist. To evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and monitor the condition of hereditary angioedema (HAE), you need to visit a doctor at least once every three months and regularly fill out special questionnaires in the doctor’s office. This takes a lot of time and is not always convenient for patients.
The created bot allows you to perform such monitoring at any convenient place and at any time. The results obtained can be sent to your doctor to evaluate your condition and adjust your treatment.
The bot also includes all four validated test questionnaires used in Russia and worldwide for NAO. It includes questions such as whether the patient has experienced any swelling in recent days, how severe it is, and whether it interferes with daily activities.
This combination of tests allows you to most accurately assess the patient’s condition. The user can choose a questionnaire to complete, fill out one or more according to the suggested schedule and receive an interpretation of the result to send to the doctor.
The digital assistant is currently undergoing user testing in the Stavropol Territory and the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. The developers are also working on integrating a database into which the results of filling out the questionnaire will be uploaded to the user’s personal account.
Earlier scientists was created A method that can replace colonoscopy.
