The International Group of Scientists from Australia and PRC made an unexpected discovery by examining the Moon soil examples given by China’s Chan-5 mission. An analysis of microscopic green glass beads can shed light on the hidden under the surface of the moon. The study was published scientifically magazine Science Developments (SCIADV).
Typically, such glass formations occur when meteors have effects on the moon surface. However, the discovered beads are distinguished by the unusual magnesium content that shows the possible origins of the moon manton’s deep layers.
Alexander Nemchin, a Professor of Kertin University in Australia, said, “When these samples hit the asteroid surface and throw the ingredients from the intestines of the moon,” he said.
The chemical composition of the beads is significantly different from the known lunar breeds. Scientists suggest that the material can be thrown in the formation of a rain pool with a giant shock crateer age for more than 3 billion years.
Discovery is important to plan future months discoveries. Understanding the internal structure of the satellite will help to compare its evolution with ground and other planets.
