Sobolev’s first coach: They say he plays well in Dota 2 08/08/2024, 22:38

The first coach of Spartak Moscow’s Russian forward Alexander Sobolev Alexander Gorbunov spoke about the athlete’s passion for computer games. Quotes from an expert “Sports Express”.

“Sobolev will get out of this situation. They say he plays Dota 2 well. Maybe this is how he relieves stress; he needs to spend his free time somewhere,” Gorbunov said.

The forward was removed from the starting lineup after the first round match of the current Russian Premier League (RPL) against Orenburg (0:2). According to media reports, he told coach Dejan Stankovic that he wanted to leave.

Sobolev has been playing for Spartak since 2020. In total, he played 139 matches for the team, scoring 58 goals and making 32 assists. His contract with the club runs until the summer of 2026.

He reportedly came close to a move to Zenit this off-season, but Spartak increased their asking price for the player at the last minute and the St. Petersburg club rejected the move.

It was previously reported that Sobolev. spent Half a million for computer games after suspension.
