Ruslan Sidiki, accused of blowing up a railway near Ryazan on the orders of Ukrainian special services, has now begun to deny his intention to participate in a special military operation (SVO). His lawyer Igor Popovsky said this in an interview RIA Novosti.
It was previously reported in the media that Sidiki was planning to go to the Northern Military District to atone for his crime.
“Ruslan Sidiki resolutely denied rumors about possible service in the Northern Military District,” the lawyer said.
Sidiki, who holds Russian and Italian citizenship, is accused of preparing for terrorist activities, as well as committing a terrorist attack and attempted murder while acting as part of a group. He was also charged with three counts of illegal production of explosives.
Before that, a source familiar with the investigation of the case said, reported RIA Novosti reported that Sidiki hoped to receive $15,000 from the Ukrainian special services for his actions, but according to available data, he did not receive the money.
