Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov made his debut for French PSG in a friendly match against Austrian Sturm.
The match started at 19.30 Moscow time. Another debutant appeared on the field as part of the Austrian team – Russian goalkeeper Daniil Khudyakov, who moved to Sturm from Lokomotiv Moscow.
PSG announced the transfer of Safonov, who plays for Krasnodar, on June 14. At the same time, it became known that a week ago, the player was banned from leaving Russia due to alimony debts exceeding 60 million rubles. The ban came into effect on June 6, when the goalkeeper was already in Minsk with the Russian national team and played a friendly match with the Belarusian national team, which ended with a 4:0 victory for the Russians. The goalkeeper returned to Russia with the team. Later, it became known that Safonov’s ban on leaving the country was lifted.
Insider Ivan Karpov said that Safonov managed to leave after paying part of his debt of 22 thousand rubles and the travel ban was temporarily lifted. The ban was later reinstated, but by then the goalkeeper had already left Russia.
