Moscow “Spartak” was never seriously interested in purchasing Krasnodar goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. This was reported by online publication “Euro-Football.Ru”.
According to the source, the capital club was not close to purchasing the 25-year-old goalkeeper as they did not see him as a strengthener of the squad.
This season, 25-year-old Safonov played in 29 matches for Krasnodar and missed 27 goals and kept 10 goals in these matches. The goalkeeper is a graduate of the Krasnodar team.
Before the final round, Dynamo is leading the RPL standings with 56 points, while Krasnodar is three points behind and in third place. These teams will have to play each other and if Krasnodar wins and Zenit loses points in the Rostov match, the Bulls will be champions, because in case of a tie with Dynamo on points they will have an advantage due to the victory.
