Three years later classic Tabarca-Santa Pola swimming return with about 1,400 swimmers. This Sunday will be from 07:30, when the signal to start from Tabarca island to Varadero beach is fired. on a route of about six kilometers, where all safety measures have been strengthened compared to previous versions. Covid caused the last transition to be made in 2019. Since then, there have always been attempts to renegotiate, but in vain, until this Sunday, when the swim party will return with a popular pass of the always flawless organization. The road has not been easy and the increase in registration prices has created controversy. The Alone de Santa Pola club had to explain on social networks the reason for the sharp rise in a test that was left in the air with the pandemic. The increase in all prices meant that the organization had to make registrations more expensive, so many swimmers chose to give up their place in the pass, considering the new price of 70 euros per swimmer to be disproportionate.

With the discussion forgotten, the swimming festival begins. Daniel Ponce and Miguel Bou, two of the favorites claiming victory. In the case of Ponce, the Valencia swimmer reached this edition in great form, without stepping down from the podium for five years in a row.

The test will bring together swimmers from more than 15 countries from all over the world. Safety has always been the banner displayed by the organizers. On this occasion, at least a hundred canoes and support inflatable boats will accompany the heroes during the 5,900-meter journey.

There will be other support services by the Red Cross, Civil Guard, Civil Protection and Local Police. Each swimmer must carry a chip, safety whistle, individual buoy and cap throughout the entire pass. The 3rd kilometer will be a source of hydration for the participants. The organization will also have buoys every 100 meters and two floating islands for emergencies.

Solo Swimming Club delivered 40 solidarity venues to the participants in order to contribute to the Red Cross food bank. The price of each solidarity place is 170 Euros, of which 100 Euros will go to the said contribution. The time limit to cover the journey will be 3:30 hours. (finish line arrival at 11:00 at most), then the swimmer in the water will be picked up by the organisation. The same check will be made at all kilometer points, no one can exceed 1:45 hours in the third kilometer.

The countdown has begun for one of the most anticipated events of the calendar, which was met with even more enthusiasm after three years due to the pandemic. The swimmers will depart at six in the morning in the tabarquera, which will depart for the island, where the start will take place in an hour and a half. In principle, the sea is expected to be beautiful.
