Moscow’s former football player and coach, Spartak Valery Gladilin, shared his expectations for the 18th round match of the Russian Premier League (RPL), where the red-whites will host Krylya Sovetov Samara. In his comment to socialbites.ca, the expert called Spartak the favorite and emphasized that the red-whites need a win.
“The question is what the weather conditions will be. The match against “Spartak” in Kaliningrad showed that in these conditions the team looked very worthy, there was an attitude, maximum dedication and mobilization. I think it will be the same here, Spartak has nowhere to retreat. A misfire with “Wings” would have been a disaster.
Spartak is the favorite and will win. “Wings of the Soviets” has already solved all possible problems. They didn’t even plan to get into the top 6, but they are in the leading group and have points in reserve. They will play for fun. But Spartak has nowhere to go. If they lose or draw, it will be a disaster and there will be a lot of problems,” says Gladilin.
The match between Spartak and Krylya Sovetov is planned to be played on Saturday, December 9, and the start time is scheduled for 14:00 Moscow time. Competitors will be evaluated by Pavel Kukuyan. Spartak head coach Guillermo Abascal will miss this match due to disqualification.
A legend of Spartak before statedI think the team can play better without Abascal.
