National Hockey League (NHL) Calgary Flames traded Russian player Nikita Zadorov to Vancouver Canucks. This was reported in a press release published on the league’s website.
In exchange, the Flames received a third-round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft from Vancouver and a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft that the Canucks originally acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks.
This season, 28-year-old Zadorov played in 21 matches and recorded six points (one goal and five assists) with an average of -6 points in these matches.
Zadorov has been playing in the National Hockey League since 2013. The defender has been playing in Calgary since 2021. He also defended the colors of the Chicago, Colorado Avalanche and Buffalo Sabers at various times.
Last season, the Russian player played 82 matches in the regular season and scored 14 goals and 8 assists.
In his last interview, Zadorov condemned Russia and talked about the huge prize money given to the Russian team.
Previously Zadorova accused by “turning his ass” towards his homeland.
