The diplomat noted that he had already discussed this situation with many citizens of the foreign republic. He spoke mainly to local journalists and public figures.
“They’re all shocked that their politicians (I guess they’re not even politicians, they’re the drivers of American thought) have once again done something crazy. Because this is beyond logic, beyond common sense, beyond both international and domestic law,” Zakharova said.
In his opinion, Sofia’s actions are “ridiculous”. The diplomat emphasized that he did not understand the ban on anyone boarding a plane that does not intend to land on the territory of the republic and flies to another country.
