Russian and European champions, as well as world championship medalists Alexandra Boykova/Dmitry Kozlovsky, talked about their motivation in the absence of international competitions in a comment to socialbites.ca.
“We are training to skate in international tournaments. We deserve it and we should be there. But in Russia the level of pair skating is so high that we do not feel it (lack of international competitions). We are motivated and our competitors help us. I hope we can help them too. But when we are allowed in, we will have to come and win,” Kozlovsky said.
On November 26, Boykova and Kozlovsky became the winners of the sixth stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow in the doubles sports competition. They collected 235.78 points. Natalya Khabibullina and Ilya Knyazhuk took second place with 220.32 points. The top three were Yulia Artemyeva and Alexey Bryukhanov (212.58 points). After the short program, Boykova and Kozlovsky also became leaders.
Boykova and Kozlovsky are European champions (2020), World Championship bronze medalists (2021) and two-time Russian champions (2020, 2023).
