Lisandro Martínez is expected to be out for ten weeks and may even have to undergo a second operation on his foot.
Martínez was sidelined for almost two months last season due to surgery for a metatarsal fracture in her right foot that occurred in April. The Argentine centre-back returned to play in pre-season but the problem was exacerbated during the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal earlier this month and he could now miss the next 10 weeks, according to The Telegraph. According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils are also considering whether the defender will need further surgery for the aforementioned foot injury.
In addition to Martínez, United are currently without injured full-backs Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Sergio Reguilón. Other players such as Amad Diallo, Scott McTominay, Kobbie Mainoo and Christian Eriksen will also be absent due to illness or injury. Due to the dispute with Ten Hag, Jadon Sancho is still unavailable, but Antony is now eligible for the team again.

For now, the Argentinian will be out until December; However, if the club decides that surgery is necessary, he will not be allowed to play again until 2024.
