A number of opposition politicians took part in the Million Heart March. What were they talking about? We invite you to read their speeches. Interestingly enough, according to commentators, it was not Donald Tusk and Rafał Trzaskowski who led the way on the podium.
We are marching today to win the elections in two weeks, but in fact this is just the beginning, because we are marching for a completely new Poland. I see millions have woken up. And that’s the most important thing. We face the future with courage and determination, towards a Poland that is tolerant, diverse, European and smiling.
– said Rafał Trzaskowski.
We are moving towards the future because, ladies and gentlemen, this is the most important thing for us: talking about the future, talking about what we can do together. We don’t want to keep looking back. We do not want, like our competitors, to base our policies solely on resentment and unbearable pomposity. We want to refer to tolerance, we want to refer to the best tradition, the best tradition of Poland, the tradition of a country that has been open and tolerant, that has always been and will be European.
– he emphasized.
He added that “they want to refer to this tradition.”
We do not want to refer to an exclusively negative tradition, the propaganda of communist lies. We want to look to the future with pride and courage
– noted Trzaskowski.
Addressing the audience, he said: ‘Just think for a moment on what the current authorities are building their election campaign on: nothing but lies, propaganda, manipulation. There is no positive wire there. We want to talk about the future.”
We have put together a special program for 100 days of rule. We want to look into the future and propose solutions to the most important problems. You can think about it and listen to what we are talking about. We are talking about education, health care, relations with the European Union, we are talking about the fight against inflation, prices
– mentioned the mayor of Warsaw.
They talk about one thing and one thing only: Donald Tusk
– he emphasized. The crowd then began chanting, “Donald Tusk.”
We want a Poland where women decide about their health and lives. We want a Poland where the uniform is respected, where the police and uniformed services defend the citizens, and not the authorities. We want Poland to have equal opportunities. We want a Poland that is proud, where the authorities really fight to safeguard our most important interests. Poland, where the most modern education exists
– he pointed.
Tusk: Today there is a big change
This moment is a signal of the great Polish rebirth; today a big change is taking place. We are starting the Million Hearts March in Warsaw, a symbol of rebirth, PO chairman Donald Tusk said on Sunday at the inauguration of the Warsaw march.
The impossible became possible. I see this sea of hearts. Seeing these hundreds of thousands of smiling faces makes me feel good that this breakthrough moment in the history of our homeland is coming
– said PO chairman Donald Tusk on Sunday in Warsaw.
The PO leader noted that “a big change is happening today.” He judged that this moment was a signal of a great Polish rebirth.
We are starting the Million Hearts March here in Warsaw, which is also a symbol of rebirth. Today some of them, not many, escaped from the capital. They did not want to see you on this day, but the image of all Poland gathered here today will follow them. Today the whole world is looking at Warsaw, today you have the right to feel proud again
– he said.
Tusk emphasized that “Poland is something very proud, Poland is very important for hundreds of thousands, for millions of people.” He added that “they” could do no more wrong.
We will keep an eye on them
– he assured.
Czarzasty: I want PiS to stop arguing with Poland
I want PiS to stop arguing with Poland, because it will lead to nothing for Poland. Poland must be one, smiling, tolerant and great, because we deserve it. We will win, said left-wing politician Włodzimierz Czarzasty.
Deputy Chairman of the Sejm, co-chairman of the New Left, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, in a speech to those present at the march, emphasized that he was in this place because he believed that the opposition should cooperate with each other.
I am here because I believe that the opposition will form a joint government after the elections
– he said, adding that it will be created by the Third Way, the Civic Coalition and the Left.
I want PiS to stop arguing with Poland, because what they do: they are constantly looking for an enemy, today a gay, tomorrow a Jew, the day after tomorrow a German, a nurse, all professions. This will lead to nothing for Poland. Poland must be one, smiling, tolerant and great, because we deserve it. We will win!
– concluded the left-wing politician.
Czarzasty noted that he dreams of Poland becoming a secular state in which “the clergy will never tell us what to do, who to love and how.” He added that he wanted the “clerics” to pay taxes like all citizens and be equal before the law.
I want the pedophile transferred from parish to prison, not from parish to parish
– he emphasized.
I want women to have their rights and be able to decide for themselves about abortion. That abortion would be allowed up to the twelfth week and that no one would interfere with it. (…) I want women to have childcare and kindergartens so they can work
– he mentioned.
Czarzasty also indicated that he wanted the school to be tolerant, “for religion to end at school and meals for the children to begin”, and for public services to be available at a high level. He stressed that the concordat must be amended or dissolved.
I want hospitals to be open to the public, because Poland is not just a country of rich people. Each of us has the right to health care, surgery and care for ourselves and our loved ones
– he said.
The left-wing politician noted that he wanted the slogan “housing as a right, not a commodity” to be implemented and “cheap rental” apartments to be built.
I want that
– he emphasized.
I want the 14 million people who are deprived of public transport, where there are no trains or buses, to no longer be excluded from transport. I want a train to go to every neighborhood and a bus to every municipality. This is what you deserve, this is what we deserve
– he said.
Czarzasty also emphasized that he wants Poland – just like in France – to work shorter within the 35-hour working week.
Work is not everything, you have to live and be free, smiling, full of heart for everyone, tolerant
– he emphasized. Czarzasty also pointed out that he wanted seniors to live in dignity, that a widow’s pension be introduced, “that no one would interfere with the culture, that no one would tell us that we are pigs when we are in the cinema, that is a scandal.” ”, he emphasized, adding that public media must be independent.
Kołodziejczak: “Poland is ours”
We come from different places, but we have one goal, and that goal is Poland
– said Kołodziejczak in turn.
And don’t let anyone tell you that Poland isn’t yours. You are the owners of Poland, not some party that is now in power and is starting to think that Poland is its property. This is not the case. We will never allow this, because Poland is ours. Poland is yours. You’ve earned it. And you built Poland every day with your hard work, that’s why Poland is yours and never forget it
– said the leader of Agrounia to the audience.
He also recalled his election slogan: “I will guard your rights.”
And your right is that Poland is yours and today I will guard your rights. So that Poland comes back to you and comes back. I promise you this
– Kołodziejczak noted.
Wiktoria Bartosiewicz also spoke and presented herself as the youngest KO candidate in the Sejm elections. She called on young people to go to the polls and vote “for a free, democratic and tolerant Poland.”
May we all vote to be free. This will be my first parliamentary election, probably the most important. See you at the polls
– she added.
A wave of reactions on the Internet after speeches during the Tusk march
The speeches at the start of the Million Hearts March caused a wave of reactions on the Internet. Many people who speak on this issue point out that Włodzimierz Czarzasty’s speech was electorally better than the speeches of Donald Tusk and Rafał Trzaskowski.
“We want a Poland in which the Polish uniform is respected” in Trzaskowski’s speech is truly disgusting
In the category of march and rally speeches, Włodzimierz Czarzasty is much better today than Donald Tusk and Rafał Trzaskowski. Excellent speech. The left made good use of the platform it was given, nomen omen.
Czarzasty eats Trzaskowski and Tusk for breakfast. Details of Libków’s Grass Speech.
Czarzasty stole the Million Hearts March from Tusk, which was attended by up to 100,000 participants.
Trzaskowski shouts that they are marching so that no one will attack anyone. Classic about tolerance and values. Camera change, eight stars, back to reality. March of Hypocrisy.
Czarzasty positions himself very well for left-wing voters, a better election speech than Tusk and Trzaskowski. The left knows what it is fighting for and for which electorate
