The five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home served as Ovechkin’s home during the early years of his career with the Washington Capitals. It was rented for 9 thousand dollars per month.
The building includes a large kitchen with appliances, a basement with a wet bar, a large two-car garage with a “gym-ready floor,” a sauna and a fenced backyard, the statement said.
Ovechkin, who played in 74 regular season games in the National Hockey League (NHL) last season, scored 42 goals and 33 assists. However, this did not help the Capitals reach the tournament’s play-offs.
The Russian player currently has 822 goals scored in his NHL career. The difference with Wayne Gretzky is 72 goals. The Canadian has 894 goals and remains first among snipers in NHL history.
