The Englishman plays a discreet match against Unión Berlin, but finds a loose ball nearby to dress up as a hero; the scores, here.
Real Madrid, synonymous with the Champions League, came to play its favorite tournament against some Germans making their debut in the competition. Union Berlin was not expected to put up the fight it ultimately presented, but the capital team did what it could best to take the three points: win when everything already seems lost.
In a bid to retain the title they last won in 2022, the 14-time European champions faced the Bundesliga team at the Santiago Bernabéu on the first day of the group stage and emerged victorious in the final match. Jude Bellingham, who had done almost nothing in the match, was the Whites’ hero, pushing a ball into the net in ’94.
