Stanislav Cherchesov, the former head coach of the Russian national team, said that he would not allow striker Artem Dzyuba to participate in media activities if he coaches him. Cherchesov quotes his words “Match TV”.
“I will not allow such media activity from a player from my team! I would say: “Concentrate on your work! Don’t let this distract you! Finish and move on!” We are not against a player opening his own page on social networks. If Artem hears us: “I hope I will educate you, you will not do this!” – said Cherchesov.
Dziuba signed a contract with Lokomotiv last season. Later, the player and the club extended the contract under the 1+1 plan. Before that, the striker played for Adana Demirspor in Turkey. At the beginning of November 2022, the parties terminated the contract.
In the new season, Dzyuba played six matches in the Russian Championship and one in the National Cup, scoring two goals and two assists.
Previously Commentator Gennady Orlov statedDzyuba unknowingly acts as a brake on Lokomotiv.
