From the first confrontation between the two, on December 6, 1908 at the GEBA stadium, to date, Boca and Racing have met 212 times and Xeneize has an important advantage of 22 games.

The last game in all competitions was a 3-1 victory for the Ribera team in La Bombonera, for the Professional League Tournament 2023.

RECORD FOR LOCAL TOURNAMENTS

Most of the clashes between Boca and Racing naturally took place in the championship, with the peculiarity that the first four games for the Second Division were in 1908, 1909 and 1910. In total, both clubs played 13 games in the amateur era, with a big advantage for the Academy, and 173 in Professionalism, where Xeneize reigns. Total, the difference is in favor of all of La Ribera 25 matches.

RECORD BY INTERNATIONAL CUPS

Boca and Racing met five times in tournaments organized by CONMEBOL: they met three times in the Libertadores (in 1989 they played three games to break the tie for first place in their group) and twice in the Super Cup. The advantage is largely in favor of Xeneize, who has four games ahead of him and only fell once.

The last game between the two was in the quarter-finals of the 2020 Copa Libertadores: after Racing’s 1-0 victory in the first leg, Xeneize won 2-0 in the rematch in La Bombonera and qualified for the semi-finals. Three years later, they meet again in the same instance of the tournament.

Avellaneda’s team won crosses in the 1914, 1919 and 1933 Competition cups, the 1945 British Competition, Adrián Escobar 1946 and the 2021 Professional League, the 2022 Champions Trophy and the 2022 International Super Cup.

The Ribera team meanwhile won the 1918 Competition, 1944 British Competition, 1945 Republic, Argentina 2012, 2022 Professional League cups and the two qualifiers in international competitions: Super Cup 1989 and Libertadores 2020.
