Lokomotiv Moscow striker Artem Dzyuba said in a meeting with Rubin Kazan’s former head coach that he found the level of work of Russian football referees normal.
“We have good referees. If you get eliminated, it’s not the fault of the referees. Our referees are normal,” says Dzyuba “Sport Express”.
Dzyuba left Zenit Petersburg at the end of last season and then signed with Turkish club Adana Demirspor. After spending several months abroad, the striker terminated his contract with the team. In February, he signed a contract with Lokomotiv Moscow as a free agent. In May, the football player extended his contract with the railway workers until 2024.
Dziuba has recorded eight goals and five assists in ten games after returning to the Russian Premier League (RPL). Lokomotiv’s top goal scorer last season.
Led by Slutsky, Rubin flew out of the RPL at the end of the 2021/22 season. In November 2022, the specialist left the Kazan club. In the 2022/23 season, Rubin became the champion of the First Division and returned to the next league.
