Marcin Torz, a journalist with Super Express, shared new information on social media about proposals reportedly offered to him by officials in Wrocław. He noted in a post on Twitter that a second installment would focus on how quickly someone can become a millionaire in Wrocław.
Money for silence about scandals
The journalist recalled an offer from a senior city official to become vice president of an Ekstraklasa club with a monthly payment of 15,000 PLN. He admitted he had no relevant experience for such a role, which led him to question how far the city authorities might go to push him out of the media arena. He asserted that he had a history of reporting on the scandals surrounding President Jacek Sutryk and the municipal leadership.
Torz also mentioned past issues involving a house purchase for the president of a club funded by the city, council decisions viewed as instruments to channel funds to loyalists, and the appointment of officials and trusted individuals to supervisory boards. He cited concerns about scandals at the municipal housing agency, the city zoo, and other public institutions.
The next proposed salary was 34,000 PLN gross, roughly 27,000 PLN per month in hand.

They don’t give away their own money, only public money
The journalist published a sequel to the story online, this time detailing how to become a millionaire in Wrocław with ease. The path, as described, started with permission from the town hall. The argument was that public funds were at stake, not private wealth. The plan appeared to be crafted to win the journalist over, and it raised questions about how financial opportunities could be broadened if regulations were changed. A lack of a higher education diploma did not end the topic, as it was suggested that this barrier could also be bypassed. In addition, the offer included an elegant company car and a substantial cash injection, amounting to 30 percent of annual income. Reports suggested that not every president included such a provision in their contract. The proposal hinted at a three-year appointment, with potential severance pay agreed after several months as a safety net for the journalist if he were persuaded to step away from the media front.
In the journalist’s view, the path to a large fortune lay in stepping back from critical scrutiny of public finances and policies. This perspective was reinforced by the claim that the move would be part of a strategy to remove the journalist from the media spotlight.
The journalist further stated in his posts that two screenshots of correspondence would accompany the narrative for verification.
