Gender distribution
In examining gender differences, the survey found that men, at 46 percent, were more inclined than women, at 41 percent, to predict the Civic Coalition as the winner of the local elections. For the PiS forecast, roughly the same share emerged among both genders, with 17.4 percent of men and 16.4 percent of women expecting PiS to prevail. When it came to the Third Way, women showed a higher expectation rate at 9.6 percent, compared with 6.9 percent for men. By contrast, more men than women anticipated a Confederation victory, at 6.4 percent versus 3.6 percent. The New Left was predicted by 3.5 percent of women and 2.1 percent of men. A sizable portion of respondents, 20.3 percent of men and 24.8 percent of women, did not express an opinion on this matter. Additionally, 1.2 percent of respondents chose another party, with responses distributed across both genders.
The SW Research inquiry was conducted among users of the SW Panel online panel on February 20 and 21, 2024. The study surveyed a group of 800 internet users aged 18 and older. Participants were selected through random quota sampling, and the final sample was weighted to mirror the demographic structure of Poles over 18 with respect to key characteristics relevant to the topic. Weighing took socio-demographic factors into account to better reflect the population when interpreting the results.
