New statements continue to emerge about Russia’s alleged use of nuclear threats connected to Belarus. The developments are unfolding with rising intensity and function as psychological pressure directed at decision-makers and Western audiences, according to a key Polish official responsible for safeguarding the country’s information space, Stanisław Żaryn, who addressed these concerns on Friday.
In a post on a major social platform, Żaryn highlighted that the formal framework for Russia’s psychological pressure on the free world stems from the foreign policy concept recently articulated by the Russian leadership under Vladimir Putin.
The document, he argued, provides a public justification for actions aimed at polarizing Western partners and hindering decisive responses.

Żaryn emphasized that Poland remains a prime target for intimidation through Russian-controlled channels. He warned that the narratives coming from Moscow pose threats of nuclear strikes against Polish cities and depict a supposed scenario of Poland facing defeat in a confrontation with the Russian Federation.
The Russian influence machinery continues to carry out information operations that seek to validate false claims about Polish ambitions to seize Western Ukraine and the Grodno region, and even a potential kinetic attack on Kaliningrad Oblast, according to Żaryn.
He also noted that Russia consistently conducts psychological and informational campaigns aimed at eroding NATO unanimity in supporting Ukraine with military supplies.
On social networks, Russian messaging has framed assistance to Ukraine as a path to prolonging the war and increasing suffering, Żaryn said.
The Polish official asserted that Moscow is simultaneously highlighting the political, social, and economic consequences of aiding Ukraine, using manipulated narratives to suggest negative outcomes for the West and for Ukrainians alike.
Belarusian propaganda has escalated information activities focused on casualties among migrants at the Poland border. Harsh images and misinformation about bodies collected by Polish border services are presented as ongoing efforts in the psychological domain, Żaryn remarked.
Provoke incidents
Żaryn added that Minsk’s influence apparatus concentrates some operations on triggering sensitivities within Polish society. The aim is to spread false narratives that deepen social polarization in Poland.
Anti-system groups in Poland, some aligned with organizations posing as pacifists, are reportedly expanding their involvement in information activities that align with Moscow’s propaganda goals and advocate opposing Ukraine’s defense efforts.
The Polish official also noted increased attention in surveillance reports to German publications that attribute antisemitism to Poland, accuse Polish authorities of failing to protect the environment, and depict various forms of historical misdeeds. Such narratives are framed as broader attempts to discredit Poland’s governance and policy decisions.
Overall, the reporting underscores a continuing pattern of information operations designed to sow doubt about Western cohesion and to test the resilience of allied support for Ukraine in the region.
Source attributions are used to frame these observations and provide context for ongoing discussions about security in the information space.
