Marcin Romanowski, a Member of Parliament for Sovereign Poland and a former Deputy Minister of Justice, spoke on Telewizja wPoland about a range of issues, including questions surrounding alleged irregularities in the use of Justice Fund resources.
Early in the discussion, Romanowski referenced reports from the wPolityce.pl portal about the neo-TVP team camping outside Minister Zbigniew Ziobro’s residence for at least two days.
He noted that this period leading up to Christmas has drawn heightened commentary. Journalists stationed at the minister’s home, while reporting on the situation, observed a minister who had been undergoing cancer treatment. Romanowski emphasized that choosing the right words in this moment was challenging, suggesting that some comments on television would be inappropriate.
– he stated.
Romanowski recalled that weeks or months earlier the minister had been treated in Lublin. He mentioned that abroad there were accusations that the minister was faking the illness, and now that the minister interrupted his therapy at the end, he faced charges of feigning sympathy for people. The remark highlighted a cultural contrast that Romanowski described as a different civilization.

During the discussion, the former Deputy Minister of Justice addressed why the Profeto Foundation, established by Father Michał Olszewski, received funding from the Justice Fund.
He described a competition for a specialized center within the Justice Fund’s network for victims. The project, named Archipelago – Islands free from violence, would accommodate multiple families and offer permanent residences, primarily assisting women with children affected by domestic violence. The plan also included therapy rooms and various activities, and Romanowski argued that this offer was the only one presenting the creation of a new center.
– Romanowski explained.
He announced that he would turn to Minister Bodnar to disclose all offers, end speculation, and reveal the truth. The aim was to let the facts demonstrate that the selected offer was indeed the best option, he stated.
– he added.
“These actions are intended to distract from real problems.”
Romanowski also commented on the broader actions of Donald Tusk’s coalition directed at Sovereign Poland politicians. He suggested that these moves were meant to divert attention from pressing issues, such as farmers’ protests, potential price increases linked to the Green Deal, and other developments. He argued that the period under the United Right regime saw significant steps against criminals, including prosecutions of VAT violators, which he framed as a form of revenge for those effective actions.
– he said.
Returning to the allegations concerning the Justice Fund, Romanowski stressed that the winning co-financed projects should be able to defend themselves. He expressed confidence that those currently accused would be cleared of responsibility by an apolitical court.
