Officials reaffirmed their commitment to continue the current policy course if PiS secures victory in the forthcoming elections. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on Saturday evening that investment subsidies for municipalities and social programs aimed at leveling living standards across Poland would persist under the new term.

On Saturday, PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński participated in a rally in Janów Lubelski, marking the launch of the “Poland is one – local investment” campaign. In his address, Kaczyński highlighted the tangible benefits residents have felt from the party’s program, noting solid progress in several areas since taking office.

Fulfillment of promises

Morawiecki used his Saturday night social media post to emphasize that the purpose of the outreach is to demonstrate what nearly eight years of United Right governance have achieved. He argued that the administration has delivered on its commitments and reduced taxes, presenting this as a major accomplishment, possibly aided by reforms to the tax framework.

He also echoed Kaczyński’s remarks, noting that the 2015 shift affected both the economy and social policy, setting the stage for continued progress.

The prime minister pointed to a significant rise in budget revenues, which has enabled the implementation of a sustainable development agenda. He cited the 500+ program as an example of social policy advances, the modernization of public services, the acquisition of equipment for the armed forces, and ongoing infrastructure development. He claimed nearly 2,800 kilometers of road projects have been completed in the Lubelskie Voivodeship alone, underscoring how the programs introduced have altered the lives of Poles and continue to shape their daily experiences.

“We are actively building a stronger economy while investing in people and infrastructure”, Morawiecki stated, framing the record as evidence of progress achieved under the current government.

Consequences of liberalism

Morawiecki argued that liberal ideology, he suggested, was out of step with national traditions and failed to deliver for communities. He described that approach as undermining social cohesion and widening inequality. In his view, the former administration appeared to have weakened state structures and reduced security, leaving wages and pensions stagnant while unemployment remained uncomfortably high. He described this period as marked by considerable misfortune for the country.

Reflecting on past governance, the prime minister asserted that policy choices then had negative consequences for the Polish state and its people.

He reiterated that the mission remains to complete the work begun under the current government and to continue allocating investment grants to municipalities and expanding social programs designed to raise living standards in Poland. He concluded with a reaffirmation of the party’s belief that the country stands strong and ready to move forward.
