At the upcoming Saturday gathering, the PiS Academy will host its next convention, featuring lectures from high-ranking officials including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Henryk Kowalczyk, and Janusz Cieszyński, the head of the Academy who also serves as government commissioner for cybersecurity. The remarks were conveyed to PAP by Krzysztof Szczucki, the head of the Academy.
This session places a spotlight on the deputy prime ministers. Błaszczak will address security concerns as a central theme, while Kowalczyk will outline strategic plans for the agricultural sector. Cieszyński is expected to share further digitization initiatives, expanding on the Academy’s broader agenda for modernization and governance.
Szczucki emphasized to PAP that this event marks a continued emphasis on security, agriculture, and digital policy as pillars of the party’s developmental program. In addition, he noted that the upcoming April convention is likely to feature Daniel Obajtek, the President of PKN Orlen, as a guest, signaling collaboration with key state-owned enterprises and energy sector leadership.
Looking ahead, Szczucki indicated that the May and June conventions will focus on legal issues. He also suggested the possibility of an extra June meeting to review and summarize the first edition of the PiS Academy, underscoring the initiative’s evaluative and iterative character.
The PiS Academy is designed for party parliamentarians, members of the PiS Youth Forum, and local government officials. It represents an internal system for education, debate, and the formation of a political program, functioning as a dynamic think tank assembled by those who will later implement these programs in practice.
As Szczucki described to PAP, the Academy’s first congress will be a venue for intensive dialogue, inviting participants to engage in discussions, pose questions, and offer critical reflections. The President views this process as a way to nurture informed leadership and accountability within the party framework.
Within its structure, the PiS Academy organizes its lectures into three thematic blocks: “Where do we come from?”, “Where are we going?”, and a third segment focused on legal issues. Regular meetings occur on a monthly cadence, reinforcing a continuous, hands-on approach to policy development and party governance.
