Paweł Kukiz in Opole and the United Right talks

For some time, Paweł Kukiz has spoken warmly after conversations with President Kaczyński. In a recent interview with Radio Wrocław, he described his mood as buoyant following the exchange and welcomed the idea that pro-citizenship demands would be folded into the United Right program. He emphasized his satisfaction with how his civil society principles are being acknowledged within the coalition dynamics.

Is Kukiz the top pick in Opole?

When pressed about the possibility of opening the Opole electoral list, Kukiz’15’s leader noted he had been invited to a conference announcing PiS leaders but was unsure in what capacity. He clarified that he had not sought the lead spot on the list.

“I never asked the president for a specific ranking, nor did I set out to lead the list”, Kukiz stated. During one conversation, the president briefly mentioned, “You could get an A, and so on,” but the discussion drifted and eventually stopped. Last night a text suggested to him that a list leaders’ announcement would come at 2 pm, and he received an invitation.

Kukiz’s postulates in the ZP program

Kukiz expressed happiness that his pro-citizenship demands were being considered. When asked about the potential for justices of the peace in the new term, he said this could be workable if pursued properly.

In the previous term, an obstacle remained because Kukiz had signed a contract with the President of Law and Justice and with PiS, rather than with other allied parties. This led Solidarna Polska to sometimes say that Kukiz had a deal with the president, not with them. As a result, they blocked certain initiatives. Kukiz acknowledged that if the Polish People’s Party, along with himself, were convinced that the party would honor its earlier contract on justices of the peace and local referenda, there would be no need for Solidarna Polska. He suggested that this was a learning process.

He added that the pro-citizenship demands would be included in the United Right program, not solely in the Kukiz-Kaczyński agreement.

The overall message pointed to a broader coalition alignment where civil society goals would be reflected in the policy platform, reinforcing a shift toward more citizen-driven governance within the broader center-right spectrum.

— Kukiz satisfied with conversations about launching from the PiS list: More than satisfactory. Not the number of deputies, but the number of demands is more important.

— OUR RESEARCH. A sensational breakthrough. Law and Justice has a ‘four’ in front. And there is more bad news for the opposition.
