A survey conducted by SW Research for rp.pl explored the idea of journalist Krzysztof Stanowski potentially entering the next year’s presidential race. The results showed 9.7 percent of respondents would vote for him if he chose to run, while 42.7 percent said they would not support him. The portal noted that Stanowski had previously spoken about running during an interview with President Andrzej Duda, aired after Channel Zero’s premiere. In a later post on X, Stanowski clarified that his intention to seek the presidency did not equal a commitment to becoming president.
He stated on X that his interest was in following the political spectacle closely and engaging in the debates, not a guaranteed bid for the highest office. rp.pl summarized this stance as part of the unfolding coverage.
Participants in the survey were asked whether Stanowski could count on their vote if he participated in the presidential elections. The 9.7 percent figure reflects a portion of those polled who answered affirmatively. A sizable 42.7 percent replied in the negative.

Characteristics of supporters for Stanowski’s potential candidacy
The poll also found that 15 percent of respondents were unsure whether Stanowski could count on their vote, and 32.6 percent did not know who Krzysztof Stanowski is. Men showed greater openness than women, with 13 percent of men indicating possible support compared with 7 percent of women. The age group most inclined to consider Stanowski as a voter was 25 to 34 years old. In terms of income, those earning more than PLN 5,000 net per month were more likely to entertain the idea of backing him. Geographically, the highest interest came from residents in larger cities, including areas with populations of 200,000 or more.
Małgorzata Bodzon, senior project manager at SW Research, commented on these results, as quoted by rp.pl.
Rp.pl notes that the level of support stands at 9.7 percent. In the context of the previous presidential elections, that share would place Stanowski in fourth place behind Andrzej Duda, Rafał Trzaskowski, and Szymon Hołownia, yet ahead of Krzysztof Bosak, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and Robert Biedroń.
The survey was conducted by SW Research among users of the SW Panel online panel on February 6–7, 2024. It involved 800 internet users aged 18 and older. The sample was drawn randomly with quotas, and weights were applied to reflect the demographic structure of the Polish adult population. Socio-demographic variables were incorporated to improve the representativeness of the findings.
Stanowski’s response to the survey results
Stanowski commented on the findings with a light touch, joking about potential tax breaks for people named Krzysztof and tying that humor to the survey results on X.
