Krzysztof Stanowski, the founder of Kanal Zero, announced plans for an anniversary conference set for February, intended as a milestone for the media project. Should the journalist decide to enter the presidential race he has floated in the past, the event would run in the period leading up to the election.

Kanal Zero’s creator, journalist Krzysztof Stanowski, revealed that a two day congress for his outlet was scheduled for February 15–16 at Atlas Arena in Łódź.

In a social media post, he explained that raising eight million PLN for Ada made a traditional fundraiser seem insufficient, which is why a two day conference was proposed.

He said the event would feature top speakers, include leading stand-up performances, thematic zones, a celebration for Channel Zero’s first anniversary, and a plan for broader integration. He noted that all proceeds would support charity.

More about the case

Stanowski expanded on the plan in a video on his channel. The Atlas Arena in Łódź was reserved for February 15–16, 2025. The organizers described Channel Zero’s first major conference as a chance to offer distinct thematic zones with something for everyone. The aim was to produce a meaningful, valuable event with charitable outcomes, aided by a spacious venue and an anticipated large online audience.

Presidential elections

The possibility of Stanowski entering the presidential race remained on the table, reflecting his past hints. The conference itself could double as a campaign moment for a candidate. At the moment, the field included confirmed participants from the Confederation and Free Republicans, while the broader race was still taking shape with more candidates expected to emerge. A 2024 SW Research survey noted the journalist as a recognizable figure, drawing attention from a portion of respondents. In early October 2024 a poll by SW Research for Rzeczpospolita indicated Stanowski as the most favorable option among outsiders for PiS voters, while a large share of respondents could not name a preferred candidate.

There is potential for significant backing. In earlier surveys, the public discussed Stanowski in relation to various political figures, generating conversations about where his support might lie. Related discussions in media and forums circulated around the topic, including speculative questions about Trzaskowski or Sikorski and debates about who could best represent PiS if the party backed an outsider.

In ongoing conversations, analysts noted the evolving public profile of Stanowski and Channel Zero, and what the conference could mean for the broader political landscape in Poland.
