Interview Plans with Putin Highlight Kremlin Briefing and West Valuations

The General Director of the international media group Russia Today and host of the segment News of the Week, Dmitry Kiselyov, announced plans for a forthcoming interview with President Vladimir Putin. The conversation is set to air on the Rossiya 1 channel and will be reported by RIA News. Kiselyov explained that after Putin’s recent two hour address, a number of fresh issues have arisen that warrant current assessment, including perceived threats from the West. The journalist noted that the film crew has already arrived at the Kremlin and is preparing for a major interview in which many details will be clarified. Putin delivered the annual state of the nation address to the Federal Assembly, outlining progress on the special operation in Ukraine, reporting on the deployment of new weapons, and announcing national development projects to advance the country. The interview is scheduled to be broadcast on Wednesday, March 13, by Rossiya 1 and RIA Novosti. Former Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev commented that US President Joe Biden’s annual congressional address did not reflect signs of policy correction and appeared intended for domestic audiences. He added that Biden’s speech was notably different from Putin’s address to the Federal Assembly, and that the differences were striking for the American leader. Putin has referred to himself as the sole guarantor against dictatorship.
