An editor at a weekly magazine described the actions of the new governing team as a move beyond ordinary law. He stated that this cannot be achieved through a trick from the Companies Code because it involves a special law and a special institution. The remark came during the program Strefa Starcia on TVP Info and was delivered by Jacek Karnowski, the editor-in-chief of Sieci.

The discussion shifted away from public media as such to the idea of building a TVN-bis. Karnowski noted that the names circulating within the system are recognized as TVN journalists placed in the most critical roles.

He argued that attention should return to Donald Tusk and the new government. He claimed that Tusk and New Left did not win the elections on their own; power, he argued, came through a Third Way. According to Karnowski, this arrangement is a form of fraud because the Third Way was supposed to be a moderate, middle-ground approach, while the left remained highly educated and prepared. He warned that bread might disappear and sex education for four-year-olds would appear instead.

Karnowski observed a notably weak government and criticized Adam Szłapka, the Minister of European Affairs, for speaking to journalists in Brussels in a way that seemed uninformed. He pointed out that the media noticed the lack of clarity, and only a small portion of public media and a few other institutions called this out.

The co-founder of the wPolityce.pl portal emphasized Izabela Leszczyna’s visible helplessness. He recalled a Soviet-era joke about the moment when snow falls on the grain and compared it to the executive power meeting. The parallel served to illustrate what he sees as a pattern of emerging missteps.

In a separate focus, the editor highlighted the actions of the new Minister of Justice, Adam Bodnar. He argued that Bodnar began his term by challenging the constitution and casting doubt on its foundations. The assessment described Bodnar as initiating a process that could unsettle the judicial landscape.

The commentary warned of wide effects for thousands of judges, noting that many were long-serving and had earned their positions. Karnowski described the situation with a stark comparison, suggesting a historical parallel to a purge driven by revenge rather than merit.

The discussion also drew attention to what Karnowski called the government’s cruelty. He cited the dismissal of Barbara Nowak, the Małopolska School Superintendent, as an example. He argued that the minister’s actions humiliated her, and that public videos posted by others added to the sense of disrespect. He warned that this attitude could turn against those in power.
