President Andrzej Duda in Ciepielów revealed a monument to commemorate the inhabitants of this city who saved Jews during the Second World War. The monument unveiled in Ciepielów has been dedicated to the families of Kowalski, Obuchiewicz, Kosior and Skoczylas, a total of 30 people (including 19 children), murdered by the Germans on December 6, 1942 for hiding Jews.
