Climate Minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska is known for her heroic fight against everything she believes could harm the climate. However, it often happens that her statements, which are deeply imbued with the left-wing ideology of climateism, are ridiculed by internet users. In recent days, she first argued that burning fireplaces in the home is harmful because, in her opinion, people burn wet wood in them, and then she returned to promoting the idea of building windmills in Poland as the main source of energy in our society. country.
Fighting with fireplaces
Today on Radio Zet, Hennig-Kolska supported the ban on burning fireplaces in some Polish villages.
If we want to improve air quality, we must also ensure that the wood we burn in the fireplace does not emit more emissions than coal, because undried wood and freshly cut wood that we throw in the fireplace pollutes the air enormously, and I I think everyone in Poland wants to breathe clean air
she said.
Of course, the minister’s words are complete nonsense. Few people attempt to burn wet wood in their home fireplaces. This type of wood is not suitable for a fireplace because it burns slowly, emits less heat, produces more ash and contaminates the fireplace glass more quickly.
But that’s not all
However, this case is just a small example of Paulina Henig-Kloska’s controversial views. She is currently under fire for her ministry’s renewed push to vigorously promote renewable energy solutions in Poland. The National Energy and Climate Plan was published a few weeks ago.
It presupposes radical changes in the Polish energy mix. The ministry wants 56 percent of energy to come from renewable energy sources and only 22 percent from coal sources by the end of this decade.
It is worth noting that coal and lignite power stations currently cover as much as 60 percent of Poland’s demand, and renewables about 30 percent. Moreover, according to the ministry’s assumptions, coal will completely disappear from the Polish energy sector by 2040.
Hennig-Kloska’s theorems
Paulina Hennig-Kloska advocated these solutions in an absurd speech from the parliamentary podium.

Windmill scandal
Paulina Hennig-Kloska has long been involved in the strong promotion of wind energy, which was the reason for the outbreak of one of the first scandals of the new majority after the elections about a year ago.
We would like to remind you that in November last year, a group of parliamentarians from Poland 2050 and the Civic Coalition submitted to the Sejm a draft amendment to the Law on Support to Energy Consumers, extending the energy price freeze until June 30, 2024. , which included an annex liberalizing the law regarding the construction of wind farms in Poland.
The project was supposed to allow the construction of silent wind turbines just 300 meters from the buildings. The authors of the project also proposed to expand the catalog of strategic investments to include wind farms, which means that it will not be necessary to analyze the compliance of their location with the local development plan. These proposals raised a number of controversies. Experts argue that the regulations favor large wind energy companies and may be the result of lobbying.
A strange correlation was that this insertion appeared a month after the shares of the German energy company Siemens Energy, which produced wind turbines, fell dramatically by almost 40 percent, and shortly afterwards the European Commission issued a positive opinion on the amended National Reconstruction Plan and announced that Poland will receive an advance of more than 5 billion euros.
