The government path chosen for extending credit holidays and wind energy policy
A decision has been made to move the extension of credit holidays into a government process that allows for broader consultation. The aim is to have the future Minister of Finance comment on the financial implications of the proposed law, according to Michał Gramatyka, a member of Polska 2050- TD, speaking on RMF FM.
Gramatyka, who represents the Third Way on the Polish political scene, was also asked whether he would take on the role of Climate Minister in a coalition led by Donald Tusk. He indicated that the most suitable candidate for this ministry from his party would be Paulina Hennig-Kloska. He noted that questions around Hennig-Kloska stem from the tense political atmosphere created by the opposition’s moves.
Gramatyka described Hennig-Kloska as an exceptionally honest and diligent parliamentarian who has thorough knowledge of the subject. He expressed hope that media scrutiny surrounding the wind energy bill would ease and that the debate would progress despite the controversy around the draft legislation related to energy prices and wind farm development in Poland.

Self-amendment to the KO and Polski MPs 2050-TD bill
On Tuesday evening, information appeared on the Sejm website about an amendment tabled by KO and Polski MPs from the 2050-TD group. The amendment would remove wind farm provisions from the project, leaving the core issue focused on freezing energy prices.
Gramatyka recalled that the Sejm chairman, Szymon Hołownia, announced earlier in the day that the chamber would promptly address the price-freezing issue, while wind energy matters might be handled within a government initiative. He stressed that unlocking wind energy remains an important topic and that changes are only beginning.
Gramatyka added that he would not support any expropriation for wind turbine construction and confirmed that such provisions were not included in the proposed law.
– I will not back any expropriation for wind turbine construction, and there are no such provisions in this law, he affirmed.
The Third Way representative was also questioned about the credit holiday project. On Tuesday, the parliamentary committee on public finances was expected to discuss two bills extending loan exemptions: one from the Polski 2050-TD MPs and another drafted by the government under Mateusz Morawiecki. The committee meeting was cancelled, and the bill was withdrawn.
Gramatyka explained that the decision is to push the bill through the government process, which allows for public consultation. He suggested that the future Minister of Finance should comment on the financial consequences of the law during this process.
He also commented on the composition of Donald Tusk’s government, noting that he does not yet know it. When asked about a possible appointment as deputy minister for Digitalization, Gramatyka said that the area is one where he has shown competence.
